  • Alpacas FTW!!

    Every visit to Happy Cat is crazy, hilarious, and so much fun. This writing duo is so talented!! The storytelling is seamless and insanely funny. I mean who wouldn't get married just to keep an alpaca?? Alpacas are awesome and deserve this kind of sacrifice. Second chance is my most favorite trope and when that's rolled with an enemies to lovers vibe, it's the perfect mix that guarantees that I won't be able to put a book down. I lost hours of sleep to be able to finish this book in one sitting and every second of that time was 100% worth it. Happy Cat is one of my favorite towns to visit and I can't wait to go back!!

    If I could give Hitched more than 5 stars, I would. This is my absolute favorite in the Happy Cat series. Honestly, after meeting Blake and Hope previously, I anticipated that I was going to go completely gah gah for their story, and I definitely did. I fell in love with Blake and Hope right from the start, and I wasn’t ready for their story to end. Some of the crazy animal antics in the other books were a bit much for me, but Hitched had just enough and made me giggle. Blake’s devotion to Hope and need to protect her vulnerability made my heart swoon over and over again. Ms. Grant and Ms. Valente have definitely achieved a higher level of greatness and entertainment with this fantastic addition to their collaboration of romance in Happy Cat, and I look forward to more.

    Hitched is the third book in the Happy Cat series by the hilarious duo, Pippa Grant and Lili Valente. I love this series full of awesome families, funny creatures, and amazing friends. It can be read as standalone. There are four brothers in the O’Dell family and it was time for a third brother to get hitched. Again. This isn’t the first time Blake and Hope said “I do,” but it is the first time they did it for an alpaca. It had been four years since they got married and had an annulment in the city of Sin. Since then Blake and Hope have been in this limbo of friendship between love and hate. He didn’t want to marry Hope again to just get hurt. If they were getting married then it was going to be real. He let her walk away the first time but he won’t make that mistake again. Hope knew how to love animals but she felt she didn’t know anything about loving or being loved by a person. Her family was full of miserable people. Miserable marriages. She didn’t even know if she believed in marriage but now she was married twice. To Blake O’Dell. The only man who made her feel anything. It scared her. She had three months to stay married to him. Three months to keep her distance from her husband. I can’t say more than that. I will say that I laughed out loud so many times. I fell for this couple and fell any more for the previous couples along with all of their nutty animals. Overall...it’s a story full of passion, laughter, craziness, short circuits, and love. P.S. Make sure to get the bonus epilogue. Quotes: Maybe it’s wrong to look forward to torturing my ex-wife with our second ill-advised marriage. But if it’s wrong, I don’t want to be right. “I am not your beta, woman. I’m an untamed man-beast who eats rocks for breakfast and spits nails for lunch.” “Because that makes sense.” “Go on. Say it. You’re my alpha alpaca, Blake. That’ll be your fourth nice thing about me today.” I want this kiss, this touch, this press of our bodies, to show her that I’m here.
